Smoked Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

INGREDIENTS

  • Salmon Filet
  • Cajun Seasoning
  • Honey
  • Butter

DIRECTIONS

  • Fire up your smoker to 300 F and add your pellets.
  • Put down some tinfoil or parchment paper and put your salmon on top.
  • Coat salmon generously in Cajun seasoning.
  • Put on the smoker until the salmon reaches 145 F internal temperature in the thick portion of the filet.
  • While waiting for the salmon to cook, make your honey butter sauce by combining and simmering half a stick of butter with roughly equal parts honey and sprinkle a little Cajun seasoning in there once melted down.
  • When the salmon reaches it’s finished temperature, remove from the smoker and coat generously in your honey butter sauce.
  • Let the salmon rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Feast.
